During February of 2024, Alana Taije was commissioned to deliver their second-cousins' twelfth anniversary gift. The compositions were inspired by a family of Robins who nested in the windowsill of the Figueroa-Peters Michigan home during the pandemic. Taije's second cousin, Dr. Yomaira Figueroa-Vasquez, PhD., and her husband, Dr. Tacuma Peters, PhD., shared a love for the nested critters as they symbolized themes of family, parenthood, and the identification of home.
